Textbooks/Workbooks and Math
EBUS has textbooks for certain of the subjects available for families to borrow for the school year, and we also have workbooks which can be purchased out of student funding.
*Textbooks are not automatically sent out to students, they must be requested.
If you'd like to have the office send out any of our resources, please email me at [email protected] and let me know which items you would like. EBUS resources are sent out along with a shipping label to use to return your resources at the end of the school year, so make sure to keep your label in a safe place until that time.
Here's what we have available:
Social Studies:
- Outlooks text Gr. 3-7
Science
- Science Probe text Gr. 4-7
- Science Probe workbook Gr. 6-7 (goes along with the Science text, around $15 from funding)
Math
*I would encourage Grade 7 students to use the Moodle Math course, but if you prefer you can continue to use Jump Math
There are no physical textbooks for the Jump Math program - instead, all lessons, teacher guides, resources, quizzes, and such are available for free online, to read, download, and/or print out at your convenience.
*The Jump Math lessons MUST be used along with the workbooks, the workbooks are not meant to be used alone and will not cover all topics needed.
So please make sure to make use of the online resources available to show how to present and teach the different concepts.
- Jump Math workbooks: Gr. K-7 around $13 per workbook from funding
*Please note the following regarding Math workbooks:
- K students use workbook 1.1
- Gr. 1 students use workbook 1.2
- Gr. 2-7 students use two workbooks to complete their year of math (e.g. Gr. 2 uses 2.1 and 2.2, Gr. 7 uses 7.1 and 7.2)
To access the math guides/lessons/answer keys, go to the grade appropriate page from here http://fc3.sd91.bc.ca/~ecourses/EBUSElementary and then to the Math page for that grade.
